Alison moves on to perform in the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic, Sound of Music as Sister Sophia for part of the run, and the Baroness Elsa Schraeder (Captain Von Trapp’s love interest, prior to Maria) for the other part. This marks the fourth Rodgers and Hammerstein show of Alison’s career, after having previously been in Oklahoma, Cinderella, and South Pacific. The Sound of Music plays from March 11 through May 2 at the Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theatre in Wytheville, Virginia, outside of Roanoke.

The Wohlfahrt Haus is alive with The Sound of Music. Be captivated by Maria as she leaves the convent to become governess to Captain von Trapp’s 7 children. The children come to love her after she introduces them to the joy of music. As Maria and the Captain begin to fall in love, witness the struggle of romance in 1938 Austria, which is quickly disrupted by Nazi Germany’s Annexation. Climb Ev’ry Mountain, Do-Re-Mi, Edelweiss and of course The Sound of Music are just a few of the Rodgers & Hammerstein compositions included in this epic story.
